Slow Roll Traffic Operation on Lynchburg Expressway (Jan. 22-24)

Beginning Monday evening, January 22 at 9:00 p.m. and continuing until Tuesday morning, January 23 at 5:00 a.m. and then again on Tuesday evening January 23 at 9:00 p.m. and continuing until Wednesday morning, January 24 at 5:00 a.m., weather permitting, a slow roll traffic operation along the Lynchburg Expressway will be in place to accommodate construction work being performed with the Main Street Bridge Replacement Project.

A slow roll/rolling roadblock is a method of temporary traffic control. The rolling roadblock closes all lanes of traffic by using pacing vehicles to create a gap so that construction activities can be performed.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes if at all possible.
